Khee Fatt & Choon Foong @ SMI

TRUE BLUE MICHAELIANS
Location: St. Michael Institution, Ipoh

After the registration of marriage at Chin Woo, the couple and their best mates whisked away to St. Michael for the photoshoot. It was great being able to do the shooting at our school. Most of us spent a good part of our lives studying at this school; 12 years in total for me (kindergarten + primary + secondary level)

It was a shame most part of the school was locked. Still, it was great being back, using this magnificent building as the backdrop of our photoshoot.

We started out shooting inside the La Salle Centre, and found this nice turquoise wooden door. Brilliant colour!

This was selected to be used in the wedding card design.

At the school parlour with the statue Paterfamilias (Parents).

Upholding the great Michaelian Ethos!

The long corridor...It would have been better if the red fire emergency hose is not there.

Choon Foong was natural and Khee Fatt tried his best with about 20 people watching over them during the shoot. lolz.

The main building block as the backdrop.

Da' fun version.

This did not turn out as what I initially planned. But I still like how this turned out, the actions and looks on the dudes were great!

Another try, freezing the action!

The "Heng Dai(s)" version II

The "Heng Dai(s)" version III. Not much cooperation from the guys on the left. Woi... Colin, Chun Hui and Alvin! haha...

We just couldn't leave without going for a final round at this water feature.

That's all folks! Thanks to Khee Fatt and Choon Foong, and the rest of the boys and girls, this turned out to be a very fun shooting session and gathering.

TYING-THE-KNOT on A MASS 20092009 WEDDING
Location: Chin Woo, Ipoh

September 20th, looked like any other date on the calendar. But let's put it this way "20.09.2009" and you could see it's double 2009. It was also the 2nd day of 8th month in the Lunar Calendar. At the same time, the day also fell on the Hari Raya festival weekend. This couldn't be a more auspicious day to get married...

My long time friends, and housemates (one is permanent, the other occasional), Khee Fatt & Choon Foong chose this auspicious day to do their registration of marriage. Together with them, there were 48 other couples doing a mass wedding affair at the hall of Chin Woo, Ipoh. My first time witnessing a mass wedding and I must admit I was quite overwhelmed with the crowd and photographers and journalists from the local press covering the whole event.

Some early shots in the morning just after the make-up session. Looking good and ready to go.
Left: The bride with sister cum maid of honour; Right: The bride with William aka "the driver".

Here's the couple, before the mass registration begins.

Sista Love!

Getting in line and ready for the group shots. A total of 49 couples to be wed on that day.

There were really a lot of brides and grooms! Massive event!

Another angle shot of Khee Fatt and Choon Foong and the rest of the couples.

Look at the huge crowd of photographers shooting the brides and grooms...

Shot a photo of this cute little girl while waiting for the marriage registrar.

Recital sheet...each couple has one.

Reciting the vows to each other.

Here comes the moment to sign on the dotted line...Choon Foong very serious here. Afterall, this is a decision of a lifetime.

Exchanging rings...very very happily.

Rings from Diamond & Platinum. Free advertisement for them. lolz

You may kiss the bride now...

More kiss...on request from everyone.

Charity Deed for A Day

CHARITY DEED FOR A DAY
Venue: NZX (Niu Che Sui) @ Ara Damansara

Last Sunday, Clive and I participated as volunteer photographers for the "Malaysian 88 Taiwan Typhoon Campaign" at NZX. It was a good cause where everyone was there to do some charity work. Our work was to be the official photographers for the events, and take photos of people from the crowd, have them printed out and sell them off. Besides that, there were also some games and food sold here. All the money collected will be sent to Taiwan to aid the victoms of the typhoon tragedy.

The crowd turnout was not that high, but we did what we could and we manage to collect a small amount of money for the charity campaign. Local artists such as Karen Kong, Namawee, Jeanie Lee and Manhand were there to support the campaign.

There were games available and the crowd were encouraged to participate to raise fund. Guest artist, Jeanie Lee showed everyone how it was done.

Participant will get a chop for every game and obstacle that they win. After a certain amount of chops collected, prices were available for redemption.

Pay RM5 and you get to pose, have your pix taken printed on the spot! Just like this one!

Karen Kong was there, and I must admit she is real petite.

My partner in crime for the day, Clive.

With the rest of the team...some photographers, some runners, some sales, some technical dudes. All were there in the name of charity! Great deeds!
